Canned Food Drive

The PTA volunteers assist in collecting and sorting the donations as well as dividing and boxing up the food. The BMS Drive is in the Fall and the MHS Drive is in the Spring. In the 2006-7 school year, MHS collected 1,400 food items and delivered them to 20 families in our district identified by the Orange Area Service Committee. Thanks to the parent volunteers, students, custodians and bus drivers who make it possible to have such a successful drive.

Halloween Candy Donation

After your little monsters sort through their Halloween candy, bring the excess and unwanted to your school office and add it to the "Witches Brew"...a box of candy that will be donated to a local charity.

Mittens & Toiletries Collection

The PTA holds an annual Mitten/Toiletries Collection drive each year to benefit local charities. Support has been overwhelming in the past.

School Supplies Donation

This past year was another great year for School Supplies Collection! At the end of the 2005-6 school year we collected at least 40 large Ziploc bags full of markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils and scissors. We had more than 100 bottles of glue and as many glue sticks, plus many craft supplies, rulers, erasers, binders, folders and notebooks. These items were delivered to Beech Brook and to the OCER's Open Door program. They were equally thrilled. In addition, for the first time, we collected cell phones and pagers. They were donated to the Domestic Violence Center.
